SBA membership is international, just like our campaign for change - no international barriers - and we welcome membership from all over the world as long as the criteria for membership is met and maintained. Our membership categories are listed below and by having a variety of options for membership, we are enuring that there is opportunity for all those directly and indirectly involved with the industry to make a difference by belonging to the SBA.  By choosing to belong and get involved with the SBA, we can, together, make the much needed change to the industry and you can be proud to use the icon showing you are a member of the SBA and that you are respecting your customer by having the right insurances in places as well as practising SAFE BEAUTY.  We wish to encourage membership from affiliated sectors such as personal development, health and beauty and retail.  When you join the SBA, you pay a one off joining fee plus an annual membership fee. In year two, members only pay the annual membership fee.  All prices are inclusive of VAT.

Membership requirements

  • Annual proof of public  liability insurance and where appropriate professional services, business and employee insurances
  • Professional qualifications for the industry from a recognised body and/or educational establishment
  • Sign up and adherene to the SBA Code of Conduct
  • Annual revalidation of public liability insurance and other business insurances as required
  • Annual revalidation of adherence to SBA Code of Conduct
