SBA membership is international, just like our campaign for change - no international barriers - and we welcome membership from all over the world as long as the criteria for membership is met and maintained. Our membership categories are listed below and by having a variety of options for membership, we are enuring that there is opportunity for all those directly and indirectly involved with the industry to make a difference by belonging to the SBA. By choosing to belong and get involved with the SBA, we can, together, make the much needed change to the industry and you can be proud to use the icon showing you are a member of the SBA and that you are respecting your customer by having the right insurances in places as well as practising SAFE BEAUTY. We wish to encourage membership from affiliated sectors such as personal development, health and beauty and retail. There is a one off joining fee and an annual membership fee. Members only pay the annual membership fee from year two. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.

Our membership programme allows for all sectors within the beauty and makeup industry to join the SBA through the six different membership programmes. As a student you can join (as long as your meet the membership criteria) and you can upgrade to full membership on graduation. We welcome international membership and support from those working as affiliates.

The Association’s definition of Safe Beauty is: “To deliver a professional product or service that respects the health and hygiene of customers to the highest levels achievable”. With this objective in mind, our desire is to work with Government, educational bodies, individuals and those who are involved and associated with the makeup and beauty industries to develop and introduce a new Code of Practice for the industry.
