December 2011. AJP Partnership with Aviva launches today a specifically designed insurance product for makeup artists. Developed in conjunction with Antonia Hawke of the Safe Beauty Association (SBA) and Thepromakeupshop.com, the plans are in direct response to fulfilling a gap in the market since the UK’s makeup and beauty industry is unregulated and is not licensed.

Self-regulation means that there are those working full or part time as makeup artists and/or beauty professionals who do not take their profession and their client’s health and safety seriously.

The specially-designed insurance packages are designed for the makeup artist industry’s various practitioners including established makeup artists with celebrity client lists, students, educators as well as part time mobile beauty therapists who also work as makeup artists. Policies includes public and products liability insurance, treatment insurance, legal, money, kit and equipment cover. Additional cover is available via a range of add-ons.
