london_muses_nicci_jackson_nov_2010_web_newsStudents of London MUSE's Foundation Fashion Makeup Course were given the opportunity to meet Founder and CEO of the Safe Beauty Association, Antonia Hawke, at a recent presentation to students.  Focussing of the importance of safe beauty protocol in all aspects of a career in makeup from student studio training to the catwalk, Antonia told the students "It's not just about putting into practice the training learnt during the course, but how you continue to implement that knowledge and skills throughout your professional makeup career.  It's all too easy to lapse into unsafe practices once you go out to work in the industry. So many professional makeup artists seem to forget the importance of a safe beauty practice the minute they graduate and it's easy to use every excuse in the book.  It's not acceptable that any client faces the risk of infection from dirty and contaminated products, tools and hands.  Underneath all the simmer and shine, lies a hidden danger."

Nicci Jackson, Director of London MUSE said "The Safe Beauty Association's informative and fun presentation to our students brings the reality of what it actually means to practise professional makeup with the client's health and hygiene front of mind.  London MUSE's training is not just technique, creativity, kit and contacts, but making sure our students graduate with professional skills and knowledge that will help them differentiate themselves from the competition and to give them tips and inside knowledge to carve a successful and safe makeup career."
