OUR MISSION
To bring about change in the makeup and beauty industry. Our goals include the following:
- Work with the industry to introduce an appropriate Code of Practice: - Introduce an accreditation programme for all sectors within and associated with the industry
- Ensure standards are improved and maintained
- Develop new training and awareness programmes
- Canvass to change the industry through the "Hidden Truth. Safe Beauty" campaign.
“We want to change the ugly truth of the industry with a professional body and campaign that has clear goals and a call to action for every audience” says Antonia Hawke, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Safe Beauty Association.
"Without a reality check and the facts coming to the forefront of discussion and to the public’s awareness, there is no motivation to change the ingrained norms of the industry. It will take courage and determination to engage with and convince the industry to work towards a more responsible Code of Practice, with health and hygiene at its core.
Safe beauty is our watchword. And when you think about it, well should there ever be any other kind? The Safe Beauty Association will champion the revolution and help the industry move towards the modern way of carrying out their art, a desired future for a more professional, more responsible industry for all those involved and partaking in."
